A tale of the broken

Injured. I’m injured again.

It’s like a never-ending cycle where the gods have decided that I’m not fit for physical activity. I can’t even be angry about it anymore because it has happened countless times. I’m more sad and disappointed, but that’s where you have to dig deep and channel that motivation. It’s from these injuries that fuels the desire to get better, faster, stronger. What’s the point of feeling sorry for yourself? Nothing improves as a result of pity.

It was our first year of conception with a fresh team that were unfamiliar with each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Regardless, with a little push and some direction this team managed to pull off the impossible and thus VSA UWS’s first ever significant event—VSA Poker Night 2011—was a success! Imagine that, something that didn’t involve a BBQ and skewers of nem nuong for once…

Once upon a time, there lived an Andrew who wrestled dinosaurs for a living. It was a glamourous, highly-rewarded profession in the eyes of the general public, however, there were many risks involved. Andrew was still haunted by the scar on his left cheek, the result of a careless mistake that a Velociraptor took advantage of in the arena. It could have easily taken his eye out had he not been trained to react instinctively to sudden attacks.
